ePASSPORT READY FOR RELEASE

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Delay in passport processing seen due to large volume of applicants–DFA (click to view)


30 October 2014 is the last day that the Philippine Consulate General will extend passports for one (1) year. Subsequent extensions after the said date will be for less than a year. No passport validity will be extended beyond 31 October 2015.

In accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, all non-machine readable Philippine passports (green and maroon) will be phased out by 24 November 2015.

All Filipinos are advised to apply for ePassport as soon as possible.

Sa 30 October 2014 ang huling araw na pwedeng ma-extend and inyong mga pasaporte ng isang (1) taon. Wala pong passport validity extension na lalampas ng 31 October 2015.

Alinsunod sa panuntunan ng International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), lahat ng non-machine readable Philippine passports (green at maroon) ay hindi na papayagang gamitin simula sa 24 November 2015.

Lahat po ng ating mga kababayan ay pinapayuhang kumuha na ng ePassport sa lalong madaling panahon at huwag ng hintayin ang deadline na 24 November 2015.

Requirements for claiming the new passport.

  1. Original Passport
  2. Original Receipt

If the person cannot come personnaly, the representative must bring the following:

  1. Authorization letter indicating the reason why the applicant cannot personally claim the passport and the name of the authorized representative;
  2. Original Passport;
  3. Original Receipt;
  4. Photocopy of the representativs's ID.

If lost passport:

  1. Notarized Affidavit of Loss and Certification from Employer to claim the new passport.

For Minors:

  1. can only be released to either parent who signed the minor passport application form or to minor applicant's guardian holding a Special Power of Attorney by either parent and notarized/authenticated by the Consulate.

Passport which remained inclaimed for 6 months or more from the date of issuance will be cancelled in compliance with the Department Order No. 37-03 dated 29 September 2003.

Please be advised that while the majority of the passports listed are already available for relase, it could rarely happen that a name appears in the list but the passport is not yet shipped to the Consulate. For the inconvenience, the Consulate begs the indulgence of the public.

Please be informed that 100 passports was inadvertently not included in the box received by the Consulate on 16 Oct 2014. Post has already contacted DFA and was assured that it will be shipped immediately to Jeddah. For the inconvenience, the Consulate begs the indulgence of the public.
