

- On 30 June 2009, we hosted the ASEAN Tenpin Bowling Tournament. The Philippines won the championship, while Malaysian and Brunei Consulates garnered 1st and 2nd runner-ups respectively.
- On the 2nd July 2009, the ASEAN Table Tennis Tournament was hosted by Thailand’s Consul General Praphat Chantaharn at his residence. PCG’s participation in the tournament were represented by Mr. Camilo Mendiola and Ms. Linda H. Cadiang winning the 1st runner-up for men’s single and 2nd runner-up for women’s single. Mr. Renato dela Cruz of POLO emerged as 1st runner-up in the mixed double category.
- On Thursday, 16 July 2009, the ASEAN Badminton Tournament was held at the Indian International School in Jeddah and was sponsored by the Singapore Consulate. During the tournament, participating teams and the spectators applauded the Philippine players in their display of much improved skill in the sport, which has been lorded long over by players from the Indonesian and Malaysian Consulates. Surprisingly, players representing PCG, Messrs. Yahya D. Yahya and Maruhom Andog of PTIC emerged as the champions in the single and double categories, while the tandem of Mr. and Mrs. Kim Guro got the runner-up award for the mixed double category.
- We also joined the ASEAN consulates in the tournaments for tennis, golf and sepak takraw which were organized by Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia.
